Les Flâneries Musicales de Reims

About the festival

Every year, the Festival Les Flâneries Musicales de Reims presents a very diverse programme, comprising of a large classical repertoire ranging from Mozart to Chopin, performed by chamber ensembles, orchestras, choirs and remarkable soloists. 

This year, the festival welcomes more than 400 international and French artists. There is something for everyone at the festival, from young to adult audiences, from music lovers to curious visitors.

The concerts at the festival take place in 20 unique and symbolic places of the city: monuments classified as world heritage sites by Unesco, the cellars of exceptional champagne houses, passing by the parks or the many cultural scenes of the city. There are a multitude of concerts which take place indoor and outdoor.  The Pique-Nique concert takes place in Reims' largest park: The Champagne Park.

How to get there

The easiest way to come to Reims is to take the TGV Express from the East train station in Paris to Reims. You will arrive in only 45 minutes! Two stations enable you to get to Reims: Reims-Centre station, located in the heart of the city-centre, and the Champagne-Ardenne TGV Express train station in Bezannes.

Paris-Roissy Charles de Gaulle international Airport (CDG) is located 30 minutes from Reims, and Paris-Vatry Airport is located 1 hour from Reims. 

You can also access Reims by car via the A4 highway (Paris - Strasbourg) or the A26-E17 motorway (Calais – Troyes – Dijon). 6 exits serve the city. There is plenty of parking spaces in the city, permitting you to park near the location of the concert. Leave your car at the entrance of the city and take the tram to go to the city centre. You can use the public transportation in the city (bus & tram), with an hourly ticket cost of 1,70€.

The Festival takes place mainly in the city of Reims, France and towns located around it. Reims is the capital of Champagne, so you will be amazed by its unique landscape. The city centre is bustling with life at night and during the day you can discover the traditional architecture. All parks offer spaces for peaceful moments. 

What can tourists visit nearby?

There is plenty to discover in Reims, from its extraordinary heritage site, such as the Cathedral, to the historical city centre.

Dress code

There is no specific dress codem but make sure to bring comfortable summer outfits, as the festival is in June and July.

Food & drink

There are a lot of restaurants and bars in Reims, offering a diversity of local and international cuisines. There is no need to book a table in advance. Restaurants are usually open from 11:30 -14:00 and from 19:00 -23:00.
